Fr. Aidan Troy, a popular priest from the Ardoyne Parish in Belfast, is to be reassigned to an English speaking school in Paris.  Fr. Troy came to prominence in 2001 during the Holy Cross Primary School dispute when Catholic school children were attacked while on their way to classes.  Fr. Troy is a member of the Passionist Community, a religious congregation that has a long association with the Ardoyne community and many other parts of the north of Ireland.  Fr. Troy is a native of Bray in Co. Wicklow.   Before moving to Belfast, he held an appointment in Rome.  He assumes his new position in France in a few years. < Prev   Next >
