Biotech leader Amylin [NASDAQ:AMLN] suffered in early trading on August 20 as a result of safety concerns for its lead drug Byetta. On Monday, Amylin shares fell by 5% to $28.26. The FDA issued an advisory on Monday, August 17, warning doctors that six patients taking Byetta later developed severe inflammation of the pancreas.  Byetta is co-marketed with Eli Lilly and company [NYSE:LLY]. < Prev   Next >
