There were some happy investors day, benefiting from the demise of InterMune when the FDA refused marketing approval for its lead drug, pirfenidone. Happy were the buyers of puts and the sellers of calls. The worst return was those who spent $9.10 per share or $910 per contract for $44.00 May puts; they generated $23.45 per share or 258% over night. The $12.50 May put sold at $0.30 yesterday and $2.17 today: a profit of $1.87 for a return of 230%. Not bad.
