The National Association of Investors Corporation/BetterInvesting is seeking a dynamic, driven leader to build upon our 57 year history of developing a nation of successful investors and to enable our organization to meet the needs of educating the 21st century investor.

NAIC/BI is a non-profit 501(c)(3) investment educational organization that teaches individuals how to build wealth by owning individual stocks of quality growth companies (or mutual funds) in a diversified portfolio through membership in an investment club or individually.

The CEO will report to the 13 member BI board of directors and lead a paid staff of 27.  BI has 95,000 individual members; of these, 73,000 belong to one of 9,500 local BetterInvesting clubs, represented by 94 chapters throughout the country. Over 1,500 volunteers develop and deliver educational programs throughout the nation. In addition, BI has over 140 company members representing a variety of industries and business sectors.  Our volunteer arm, the BetterInvesting Volunteer Advisory Board (BIVAB), sponsors our national convention, one of the nation’s premier investor education events.

Key to our CEO’s success will be understanding and appreciating the value of the dynamic, multi-talented, committed and passionate volunteer community.  At the same time, the CEO must be entrepreneurial, believe in the business and his/her ability to grow the core revenue component – memberships.  BI markets and communicates on two levels: 1) internally with volunteers and members; and 2) nationally, where BI needs to increase its visibility.  

Candidates for this position must believe in our mission of building a nation of successful investors; have experience as a director or senior executive with a major nonprofit volunteer organization; demonstrate strong leadership and operating skills with financial oversight experience; and have excellent communication and social skills.
