Years ago, Lír killed a skunk in the same area. At the time, he was a fully grown Irish Wolfhound, so it wasn't a problem for him; he also managed to avoid getting sprayed. ]]>She was taken to Rose City Veterinary Hospital on November 13, Friday; X-Rays were taken, but, aside form the swelling, all was well. In fact, on Friday afternoon, she was walking better and was able to put weight on her back, right leg again. The vet put her on Metacam, an anti-inflammatory drug.
By Sunday, November 15, she was doing really well; she's essentially back to normal. There's no sign problems: she isn't limping; she can stand up without a problem. She even managed to jump up into the minivan today. The swelling around the ankle has gone. She'll have another dose of Metacam tomorrow, unless there are signs of pain, that's it.
