New York, September 16, 2008: Bristol-Myers Squibb Company [NYSE:BMY] today announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Mead Johnson Nutrition Company, has filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering (“IPO”) of its Class A common stock. In April 2008, Bristol-Myers Squibb Company announced it would file a registration statement by the end of 2008 to sell approximately 10 percent and no more than 20 percent of Mead Johnson Nutrition Company stock to the public through an IPO. Bristol-Myers Squibb intends to retain at least an 80 percent equity interest in Mead Johnson Nutrition Company for the foreseeable future. The IPO process is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2009.A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective.
