November 6, 2009: Members of the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service complained that they were stoned by a group of youths when responding to a fire on the Sligo Road in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh. The incident occurred on the afternoon of November 2. Police were called to protect the firefighters. Local taxi drivers also report problems in the area and avoid the Drumawill Estate where most of the violence is alleged to occur. In a third recent incident, a van was stolen last Saturday, October 31, by youths from the estate; the van was abandoned at the Silver Swallow pub. In a separate incident in Lisgoole park, a youth attacked and damaged a taxi. Police have asked for assistance in solving these crimes.
