The Dublin Fire Brigade has opened a museum in Marino, a suburb on the northside of Dublin, Ireland. The Fire Brigade was founded in 1862 under the Dublin Corporation. The Brigade will celebrate the Sesquicentennial anniversary of its founding in 2012. The fire service employs over 1,000 people providing service to the Dublin metropolitan area of 1.3 million inhabitants. The museum was official opened by Councillor Eibhlin Byrne, the Lord Mayor of Dublin. The new museum is located at the Brigade Training Center, O’Brien Institute, Marino, Dublin 3.
