Laurel Pet Hospital is located on Santa Monica Boulevard in the eastern end of West Hollywood. The veterinarians in the practice have experience with a variety of breeds including the Irish Wolfhound. LocationThe hospital is located in Los Angeles County at the eastern end of West Hollywood, about four or five miles from downtown LA. Address History of the practiceThe practice has been in existence for over eighty years. Dr. Lee Calsyn, a graduate of the University of Illinois, purchased the practice in 1971 and has worked there ever since. The practice has four, full-timer veterinarians, including Dr. Todd Calcyn, the son of the owner. The practice believes in preventative care. Veterinarians
About the practiceAs stated earlier, the veterinarians have experience with large breeds, including Wolfhounds. Apart from the traditional offerings, the practice includes treatment such as acupuncture and chiropractic treatment. The practice is busy, so it's not uncommon to wait 30 minutes or longer after the scheduled appointment time. The vets are thorough, asking many questions about the dog and the history of the animal. The veterinarians will discuss the animal in depth with the client and give sound advice on the treatment, particuarly on preventative care, of the hound.
