November 13, 2009: Like all hounds, Irish Wolfhounds love to dig. Puppies dig when they're bored; they dig when they're not. Here are some examples of the holes and trenches appearing in the backyard courtesy of Bó and Brí. Here's the first example of their work. It may be difficult to see the trenches in these photographs; this one was taken in the backyard, it's a hole about two feet long and nine inches deep. Here's a long trench that runs up to the neighbor's fence. I have no idea why they've chosen to dig this one the way they did. It's a trench about four feet long and one foot deep. This is the start of a hole about two square feet and a few inches deep. I was wondering why they dug here. When I took Brí to the vet, and left Bó at home, he got bored and really worked hard on this hole, uncovering lots of roots.
